Justin Lucabeche
Attorney

Justin’s interest in renewable energy began when he interned with the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he supported Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar’s efforts to utilize public lands for the development of solar and wind projects. This experience gave Justin the opportunity to see how law and policy can promote renewable energy projects and combat climate change

Motivated by a desire to make a positive impact, Justin chose to pursue a career as a transactional attorney focused on renewable energy project development, financing, and acquisitions. Justin has represented sponsors and financing parties in debt and tax equity financings for commercial and utility-scale clean energy projects across the United States.  Justin also has commercial and corporate law experience, which includes experience helping renewable energy clients reorganize and restructure their assets and subsidiaries to better accommodate their financing objectives. Prior to joining Clean Energy Counsel, Justin was an associate in the Project Finance group of Stoel Rives LLP.

For Justin, working as a renewable energy project finance attorney provides a meaningful opportunity to help clients who share his desire to promote clean energy, reduce pollution, and create a better future.

When Justin is not at his desk, he enjoys enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling and rare-LP hunting at local record stores.
