An avid lover of the outdoors and all animals, Elisa is passionate about preserving and protecting our natural environment. She brings her extensive energy transactional experience to focus on renewable energy, during this unparalleled era of energy transition.
Over the past several decades, Elisa has represented a wide variety of energy companies in their development, acquisition and sale, and ownership and operation of, energy projects. She has advised electric, natural gas and municipal utilities, developers, IPPs, corporate off-takers, sponsors, owners, suppliers, service providers, cooperatives and other stakeholders on many varied energy technologies and transactions. These have included solar, wind, hydro, biomass, landfill gas, natural gas, gas pipelines and traditional electricity generation, located throughout the United States.
Elisa’s expertise includes structuring, negotiating, drafting and interpreting the various complex legal agreements required for such projects and technologies, including EPC and construction agreements, LTSAs, O&M agreements, PPAs, PSAs, REC agreements, precedent agreements, joint venture agreements, and asset purchase and sale agreements, among others.
Elisa cares about her clients’ goals and objectives. She has served as both outside counsel for an AmLaw 100 firm and for the City of Palo Alto, California, as well as in-house legal counsel with Portland General Electric Company and Northwest Natural Gas Company. She understands first-hand the needs of the firm’s renewable energy clients, and works to help identify, manage, navigate and mitigate risk. She strives to provide practical and timely legal and commercial advice, tailored to her client’s individual needs and goals. Above all, Elisa is committed to building long-term, trust-based relationships with her clients, and is passionate about helping them succeed in their energy business endeavors.
In her spare time, Elisa loves to be outside in her native Pacific Northwest, gardening, feeding the many hummingbirds, squirrels, deer and frogs that inhabit the area, and being privileged to steward the care of a 200 year-old white oak tree. She also loves to roam the Oregon coast, cook, read, and spend time with cherished family and friends.
